Sara joined the Good Sam staff in March 2015. She is a pianist from the Tampa Bay area and was born in Plant City, FL. She is the oldest of 7 ( 5 boys and 2 girls) and was homeschooled from kindergarten through high school. Sara received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL, in May 2009. She then went on to the University of Memphis, and received a Master of Music in Piano Performance in May 2011. Sara has completed three years thus far towards her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the University of Memphis.
Sara was awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship in Class Piano at the
University of Memphis from 2009-2014. The Beethoven Club of Memphis also
awarded her 2nd place in their Young Artists Competition. She has taught in
various schools in Florida and Tennessee since 2005 as well as doing work as
a freelance accompanist and performer. She commented recently, “Since the
young age of five years old, I have loved playing the piano. Around age eight, I
read several biographies on Bach, Mozart, and other well-known musicians. Combined with my love of the piano and learning about these remarkable composers, I knew that music was going to be one of the most important parts of my life and that I wanted to share it with others.”
